reliant is a family-owned business and values family-based ethics above the pursuit of financial gain. As such, we take pride in doing our utmost to follow best practices in creating and delivering the best quality creative products for our clients on time, on spec, in budget. To this end, all work is produced according to mutual agreement with our clients and this agreement is supported by clear documentation that is approved by all stakeholders.

 

Delivery of 'Raw Assets'

In order to maintain our ability to deliver products and services on time and in budget, reliant will not begin work on any product or service until we have been supplied with all 'raw assets' -- like text, images, approved client briefs, third-party 'plugins' or applications, audio, video etc. This ensures we will not have to 'double up' on any production requirements and allows us to meet our deadlines and budgets. Should any 'raw assets' be supplied after production deadlines, they could affect the timeline, delivery dates and pricing. "DROP EVERYTHING!"

reliant has a $500 'drop everything' fee if you absolutely, positively need it NOW. Just say the word and we will drop everything and tend to your urgent same-day request.

 

Web Development

reliant websites are built using Open Source resources. Open Source projects leverage the power of a development community made up of thousands of developers worldwide contributing to the core technology that powers today’s business. Open Source is a ‘free’ development platform which allows for rapid development by providing core programming elements which can then be finalized and customised by end developers at a fraction of the cost of traditional development.

 

Hosting & Hosting Requirements

reliant websites require the LAMP stack, ie: Linux, Apache, MySQL (at least 1 database), PHP & Cpanel - Shell access preferred.

reliant websites, tools, systems and other web-based products are build on our in-house servers and placed on our testing servers for client evaluation and testing purposes, then delivered on disk with simple instructions for installation by your IT professionals.

Hosting fees for websites, email, or other web tools are not included in the scope of our proposals unless otherwise stated. In most cases, hosting fees for any web-based asset are billed at the cost of $59 per month or any part thereof unless otherwise stated.

 

Email

reliant preferred web / email hosting solution covers the above requirements and includes unlimited bandwidth, unlimited email (we set up the first 5 accounts), 24/7 live monitoring and 99.9% guaranteed uptime. Should you choose to host your website at our recommended server, the installation cost of your website is included. Otherwise, we build and test the website on our server and supply it to you on disk for your IT consultants to install.

Search Engine Optimisation

reliant websites are Search Engine Friendly, however there is no substitute for professional Search Engine Optimisation. reliant has extensive experience in Google Sponsored Links in conjunction with 'organic' SEO to maximise value. Please discuss this with us should you require it.

 

Content Creation

reliant websites and creative assets do not include the creation of Content unless otherwise specified. reliant has extensive experience in Creative, Design and Content Creation. Please discuss this with us should you require it. All content like text, images, video, photos, etc. must be supplied to us prior to production to ensure on time, on budget delivery of your creative product.

 

Pricing and Scope

All reliant projects are quoted according to a prescribed Scope of Works which is approved by the client prior to any work commencing. Any changes to the approved scope could incur additional fees and will be quoted separately. Production and Services are billed at our standard hourly rate, divided into 15 minute increments.

There is a one hour minimum charge for all services rendered. Email account creation is billed at 15 minutes per account.

 

Licensed Artwork and other Third Party Assets

reliant websites and designs may contain licensed assets; the management of such is the responsibility of reliant.

 

Intellectual Property

reliant products’ Intellectual Property remains property of the creators, and products we develop are licensed to clients for express use by the specified client for the specified purpose only and may not be redistributed without permission. All work remains property of reliant until final payment, whereupon client will receive copies of all finished products on disk for sole express usage as per agreement.

 

Updates

All software products, especially websites, need to be updated regularly to keep current with contemporary systems they interact with. reliant websites and digital products are developed to the latest standards at the time of development, but may require periodic updates to the code, server environment or other variables in order to remain on the cutting edge. The cost of maintenance and updating is not included in our scope, however reliant has extensive experience in the efficient and cost-effective management of creative asset updates. Please discuss this with us at your convenience.

Domain name registration and management, web hosting and bandwidth fees are billed directly by the providers and unless otherwise specified are not included in our scope. Please talk to us about how we can easily accomodate your detailed requirements in this area.

 

Payment

Payment is required as specified in our proposals and quotations. Unpaid accounts delinquent more than 30 days without prior payment arrangement are subject to suspension of services and will be referred to third party Collections Agencies. Defaulted accounts older than 60 days with no supplemental payment agreement will be pursued via legal action, with any suspended services restored upon final payment. Should final payment for suspended services be made after the original expiry date, said services will require a reactivation fee prior to restoration. reliant assumes no responsibility for loss or damages that arise as a result of unpaid accounts.
